Odbiornik AR7100R łączy wewnętrzny odbiornik oraz jeden zdalny odbiornik dla udoskonalenia odbioru sygnału. Nadajnik i odbiornik używają do transmisji dwa zamknięte kanały, a do sterowania używa sygnału o mocniejszym sygnale. Odbiornik automatycznie ocenia jakośc odbieranego sygnału i do sterowania używa tego o mocniejszym sygnale. Całkowita ilośc jednoczesnie użytkowanych aparatur RC DSM2 jest w ten sposób ograniczona do połowy z 80 możliwych kanałów - tj. 40. Sygnał z nadajnika opracowuje odbiornik za pomocą dwóch niezależnych anten dzięki opatentowanemu software Spektrum. Ze względu na bardzo małe długości anten ich rozmieszczenie jest w modelu bardzo ważne.

Do odbiornika można podłączyc również drugi zdalny odbiornik(SPM9545), który może zabezpieczyc bezpieczny odbiór sygnału tam , gdzie instalacja jest utrudniona i potrzeba wyprowadzic antenę w lepsze miejsce.

Do odbiornika AR7100R można podłaczyc dodatkowe urządzenie SPM9540, które wyświetla na ekranie realne napięcie w odbiorniku i całkowitą sprawnośc systemy RF.

I chociaż opcjonalny zdalny odbiornik i dodatkowe urządzenie nie są niezbędne do prawidłowego działania AR7100R, niektóre złożone modele mogą wykorzystac wygodę tych dodatkowych elementów. Każdy model jest indywiduum i dlatego Spektrum umożliwia przystosowac instalację aparatury RC do wszystkich wymagań i potrzeb.
